Court Administrator The City of Dothan Municipal Court - Magistrates Office's hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, although a magistrate is on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week. This office handles all cases heard by the City of Dothan Municipal Court, which are misdemeanor cases made by the Dothan City Police Department and Dothan Airport Police. This includes the collection of all fines and courts costs assessed by the court. The Magistrates Office also issues arrest warrants for misdemeanor offenses occurring within the Dothan City Limits, and approves bonds for cases heard in the Dothan Municipal Court. If you have been charged with an offense other than one of those listed, or if you have been convicted of two or more traffic violations within the past twelve (12) months, or if you wish to contest the citation and have a trial, you must appear in Court at 10:00 a.m. on the date indicated on your citation. The Dothan Municipal Courtroom is located in the Kater Williams Justice Building (Dothan Police Department Building), 210 North Saint Andrews Street, Dothan, Alabama. Failure to pay or appear in Court on the date indicated may result in a warrant being issued for your arrest, and/or your driving privilege being suspended. Your payment must be received by the Court prior to the Court Appearance date shown on your citation.
