- Westgate Tennis Center is dedicated to providing Wiregrass residents with the highest quality in up-to-date facilities, excellence in maintenance and friendly, efficient service.

Facility equipped with 3,500 square foot second story observation deck shaded by a 6,000 square foot barrel roof canopy with suspended ceiling fans. Observation deck provides comfortable elevated viewing for championship court and 7 other courts.
Westgate Tennis Center is one of the finest modern facilities in the Southern United States. The facility addresses the highest standards of play and the greatest comfort for spectators. Several national, sectional, state, local, adult & junior tournaments are hosted here throughout the year. For more information, call Don Bryan at 793-0399.
- 20 Har-Tru courts
- All courts lighted to 70-foot candles sustained and championship court
lighted to television standards of 125 foot candles sustained.
- All courts full size with 24 feet between courts in batteries of two with low
fencing between adjacent courts.
- Championship court is built to professional standards (130 feet x 70 feet).
Sunken 6 feet below grade with Sky Box seating, championship court
utilizes low retaining walls forming a natural amphitheater. Facility affords seating capacity of 2,000 for tournament matches.
- All courts have a 6 foot x 12 foot shade shelter for changeovers.

- A 5 foot viewing berm is situated between other courts to provide elevated
viewing under umbrella tables and tents.
- 3,500 square foot control building provides beautiful facilities sized for large
tournaments and leagues.
- Large courtyard provided adjacent to championship court for food and drink
vendors and guest services during large events.
- Remote restrooms available near back courts.
In keeping with our commitment to excellence, Westgate Tennis Center offers numerous tournaments ranging from local to national events. Such events not only challenge our patrons as players but provide them with captivating spectator opportunities. The result of hosting such major tennis events (about 12 weekends per year) has a very positive economic impact on the City of Dothan and its citizens. This regional and national exposure will contribute to the many reasons that Dothan is in the forefront as one of the best places to live in the South.

Youth QuickStart Lessons
QuickStart is a lesson program designed for kids K5-10 years of age. This United
States Tennis Association (USTA) national program utilizes a smaller court, a smaller net, but larger tennis ball. The age groups are divided into three categories: 5 & 6 year olds, 7 & 8 year olds, and 9 & 10 year olds. Lessons are two times per week and are offered multiple times per year. For kids 11 years and older, Westgate Tennis Center offers a junior program for all ability levels. The lessons are two times per week throughout the year.

Adult Tennis Leagues
Westgate Tennis Center is now accepting registration for the Summer Tennis Leagues. Keith Forrester, USPTA, coordinates all leagues. Local USTA League Coordinator Lynn Lamere can be contacted at (334) 790-0126. Leagues run for 6 weeks and the cost is $20 per league.
Tuesday Evening League: Any adult (age 19 & over) with an NTRP level of 3.0 and below. This league will play Tuesday evenings at 7:00 p.m.
Thursday Evening League: Must be a definite 3.0 or above for this league. Plays Thursday evenings at 7:00 p.m.
